INEC cancels Imo state's Election
Just after the International election observers called for the cancellation of the elections in Imo State Governorship election results between APC candidate, incumbent governor Rochas Okorocha and PDP candidate, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives,
was yesterday rejected by the Nigerian Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) due to the number of canceled votes which was 144,715, compared with the margin of win by Okorocha which was 79,529, results shows that the APC candidate pulled 385,671, while the PDP candidate pulled 306,142.
Returning Officer Prof. Ibidapo Obe, later stated that a new date for election in the wards in the different LGAs where the votes were cancelled will be announced soon.
