LASAA, authorised the removal of political posters across the state
The Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency, LASAA, has commenced removal of political posters across the state. The Managing director of the Agency, Mr Noah George, said with Saturday marking the end of the elections, the agency is now set to clean up Lagos and restore order to the visual environment. LASAA earlier had conflict with opposition political parties over the indiscriminate use of campaign posters across the state.
Noah George stated that“We have expanded our plan to ensure the clean-up exercise is completed in the next two months. We are also ready to scale up our effort whenever the need arises. “From our findings, over 1,000,500 posters will be cleaned out in Lagos. We are also removing 358 illegal billboards of various types deployed in the state, with Alimosho and Eti-Osa accounting for the highest numbers.” Also speaking, the Head of Enforcement of the agency, Mrs. Olamide Oyegoke, said: “We have mapped out areas requiring heavy clean-up and are already mobilizing our men and equipment to those areas
