fact that cannot be refuted. Floyd Mayweather’s nickname is ‘Money’,
mainly because he is cash inside the ring, but it helps make the case
that boxers, like Manny Pacquiao and “Money” are swimming in loot
.
So when Pacquiao spends $3-million to seat his entourage at the game you shouldn’t be too surprised, right? Wrong. That is a pretty large purchase for your friends and family to come and watch you fight. Well, maybe more than just friends and family since Pacquiao purchased 900 tickets!
When you think of an athlete or celebrity’s entourage you most likely picture some cousins, childhood friends, and close family. Or you picture Turtle and Drama walking around a mansion in Hollywood Hills living off of Vinnie Chase. But seriously, would you ever in your wildest dreams imagine an entourage being 900 people deep?
Manny no offense but there is no way you are close with ALL of those people. Most people don’t have 900 friends, except for maybe on Facebook but that doesn’t count! No one is actually close with all of their FB friends, Twitter followers, or Instagram Hearters. They just aren’t, and if they say they are then they are lying.
Could you imagine if all 900 people were his close entourage? Where would they eat when they went out? No restaurant acan sit that much unless they rented out a warehouse and catered. How many theatres would they rent when they catch a flick? How many busses would they need to transport around town? It is just insane…
The only thing that makes sense is that he is planning for this to be the last big bout and just wants everyone he knows to come. If that is the case then hopefully the fight goes longer than just a few rounds… It already is a huge purchase, hopefully it is at least somewhat worth it.
